Innovative Design at UCLA is a community of designers, photographers, and web developers utilizing our skills to support other student organizations and professional clients.

“I studied Cognitive Science, entrepreneurship, and digital humanities at UCLA and started UX/UI Design my sophomore year. On campus, I was a designer and PM at DevX, researcher at the HCI Lab, and PD co-lead at Product Space.”
“I’m a visual designer and hobby illustrator currently designing at Riot Games. My primary skillset consists of branding and thematics, UX/UI, and production design for marketing. My more experimental work involves motion & animation, 3D modeling, and interactivity."
“I graduated from UCLA in 2021 with a major in Cognitive Science. Currently, I work at Tinder as a Product Designer on Core to create ways for people to connect—outside of the main swiping experience. When I’m not working you can catch me dancing, drawing, or doing yoga.”
Membership FAQ
By being part of Innovative Design, you're part of a community of creatives looking to support the greater design community at UCLA. You'll have access to our workshops, speaker events, and gain an alumni network across UCLA, UC Berekely, and USC!
As a member, you will be a part of a team of designers or photographers to work on client and personal projects throughout the quarter. Weekly commitments include general meetings, workshops, and critiques with your team members and team leads.
Although we're looking for members with past experience in a specific discipline, we're always looking for the potential growth in members interested in growing in their creative field. However, if you have any work that can show us your creative abilities, we'd love to see that in your application.
